01/30/10 A long time needed but lost my password.... lol

So I am sorry journal for not writing in you sooner, but i forgot my password to log in, anywho here goes to make up for it.....

Dear journal,

Insight is/was a great job, i loved it however now i am technically unemployed until they do another new hire class for their customer service call center. So i am enjoying my somewhat of a vacation. I also get to start to DJ once more in march, which is going to be amazing. I love the music industry it is always so much fun watching people have an awesome time dancing to the music i play. I also think i finally met someone who could possibly be someone worth giving a shot to. I am not going in to anymore detail as of yet more to come on that later. It snowed last night at the last minute making me very thankful i did not go out to the bars, so i would not have to deal with ice and dumb drunks. I am so excited about the upcoming weeks i have been waiting a very long time for certain movies to come out on video and soon they will. I have had an awesome 2009 and it is already looking like i will have an amazing 2010. I want to take the time now to shout out to my one and only fan RJ. I guess he can be considered to be my only true friend as of late, lol i am only kidding but my other friends better be fans soon!!! I really cannot wait to be able to play in wal mart again..... Last weekend i had an amazing time at Wal Mart we played a game where we would put stuff in peoples carts when they left them unattended or in random positions in the store, like a pink lacy bra on two melons, condoms in a babys car seat, and my favorite which is posted in this post, elmo loves to hug (KY) lol that game i know sounds childish and wrong but i promise you it is addicting and fun. I love my friends for that reason we all can have fun being a kid, because it is true we have grown past the kid stage but we never lose that part of us. So why not embrace it? Anyways that will be it for me for today, more to come tomorrow enjoy the pic, and talk to you soon.

01/07/2010 Snow Snow Really Blows!!! Plus Comission day today woot woot!!!

Dear Journal,

Why is it that one of the most important days of the training had to be the worst to drive in? I guess someone has a sense of humor! Well today in training we started out with Human Resources who attempted to explain the most complicated commission plan known to man. I also got my work phone today and it was a hand me down by a guy named Alfonso who used to have my phone and i got the vibe from the amount of people who left voice mails on it that this guy had a side business for the ladies, because he had three different girls trying to talk to him and then also he had been leaving notes with customers on their doors when they were not home that read hey i have a package i needed you to sign for please call me back immediately so you can get your package. Which is totally inappropriate so i had those peoples messages on there as well. This guy is no longer with the company but his number and name will live on because that was really funny. Anyways we also went over more need building today and we learned how to ask questions to customers without sounding too much like a sales man. So it was fun needless to say the snow also ruined our schedule because the lady who was going to bring us our uniforms did not show up today so our chances of going in the field monday are slim to none now. So we get an extra day of learning if anything and preparing. So that is fun needless to say my new insight account for myself is still not set up either so that kinda stinks too. However it should be by the end of this week or at least by next tuesday. I also on my lunch got in a small accident with a mountain of snow, i took a curve in the parking lot too quickly and the drivers side of my car slid in to this snow bank no dents or scratches though so thats good. Well i am going to watch some television and have a good night so until next time GOOD DAY and STAY WARM!!!

01/06/2010 Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, oh and more sales training.

Dear Journal,

Today we met with our real trainer at work who was at a training seminar the past two days. He had us throw out what we previously did when memorizing our greetings due to him not wanting us to sound scripted because he wants us to sound natural. So he had us memorize one of the outlines to a greeting as a guide so we would have that to fall back on only if our minds go blank at the door. We also role played and actually had a door to knock on and a person inside that door to pretend he was the customer and it felt real. We also got our offer books and found out we have pages and pages of commission paying items that we can sell that just became available a little bit before we started. We also finished our learning about the three services we provide our customers. I love that we are taking the time to go through the role plays and the ability to overcome the objections. I then after finishing up training today drove home and ate a yummy meal while watching Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs which is by far a really cool movie. Well It is a really cool movie for a kids movie. Well thats it for today got to get up extra early due to snow. BOO!!!!

01/05/2010 Second day of work got the date right today?

Dear Journal,

Today was very long however it was very fun and informative. I learned how to build trust with a customer, and an opening greeting that i have to memorize so i can perfectly deliver it at the door of my customers. We also learned how to overcome the first possible objections at the door. We learned about a sales rep that actually had to utilize the restroom so bad he went in the customers bushes, and also about a customer who loved playboy so much he left it on blaring on his television while he also invited two sales reps in to his home. I guess some people do not understand or follow the be discreet ways. Well i am glad they did not be discreet or else i would not have those situations to laugh at, but among laughing we learned a lot of useful information as well. I also had my first test on phone service and scored a 96 percent instead of 100 because i missed half of two questions one i got a half credit for because i said it takes at least 7 days to port a phone number instead of 7-14 days which was the right answer and then for the battery backup lifetime i got a half credit because i only said 8 hours of talk time instead of 8-16 hours which is what they were looking for so all together i missed four points. I think tomorrows test i will score 100 because its on broadband and i am really knowledgeable on that product. Oh well i am finished with this entry so i can study and memorize my greeting.

01/04/2010 A New Job A New Way of Life?

Dear Journal,

Today was the start of an amazing opportunity to make a great income as well as do a job that i very much enjoy. I am going to be selling services to existing customers, and today we went over all the important do's and don't's of the job. Which those are very important to me because I am wanting to turn this job in to a career. Today though in our training class the question came up what do i really want to see happen from working at insight? In other words what is my main motivation for working there that is a very hard question due to the fact that i have several different wants and needs. I am tossing around the need of satisfying my inner need to DJ at a very large and popular nightclub/pub, as well as the need to satisfy the want i have for a wife and family of my own in a nice house. Both wants will take income, and a substantial amount of it. I believe my number one goal is to get married and have a family, but i don't know because having that DJ job sounds amazing too. I guess the only true way to present tomorrow would be to present both. So that is it for me tonight i have some homework to read and then off to bed for tomorrow. Tune in tomorrow same channel same time....

01/03/2010Day One of my Journal- A new year, A new me?

Dear Journal,

Today was a pretty good day, I got to go to the movies with my sister, and Grandma. I went to steak and shake. At steak and shake i got very delicious Wisconsin Buttery Steak burger. I then went to see Avatar. That movie was amazing. It is also day 3 of the New Year. On the eve of the New Year it was a bit tough for me being recently awaken to the new idea of being single. Being single definitely has its advantages, however it is still hard to go through a night of couples who all kiss and get close for the new year celebration and know that i dont have that person there. However on a lighter more positive note i finally got to quit KFC, which was amazing i have a new glorious job for Insight Communications as a salesman. I am excited about that because its 8 times the salary i was making at KFC. My life is starting to show me that i should appreciate the smaller things in life, and not rush the larger events because in doing so i may miss out on what is actually out there for me. So i am trying to keep an open mind and just go with the flow which is kind of hard for me because i am the type to have a plan have everything already planned out and be in control and this way of doing things is less control so its a bit scary for me. So i guess i will just go with the flow and see what happens.
